BUSD 2020 is completely updated. Run button has been removed.
While designing, figures are shown in the input forms. It designs two way slab,
Column, doubly reinforced beam and staircse also .Plan of reinforcements, sections
are seen in Input screen also. Column details, charts for design of columns are
also exposed in input screen. Figures of frame and sections are exposed in Input Screen.
In Staircse also all the figures are exposed in Input Screen. It designs Hecoidal Staircase
also. All the figures are exposed in Input forms. Design of Isolalted foundation,combined
foundation and Pile Foundation has been completely updated.
28 Dec, 2018 : BUSD 2018 / BRISD 2018
New version of BUSD/BRISD 2018 are available now.
BUSD 2018 prints typical figures with designed dimension. Extra sketches should not be prepared
for so mtwany buildings for Auto Cad drawing purposes. Dimensions for drawing purposes are
separately given in the Print Out titled summary.
In BUSD 2018, design of combined foundation has been improved. In column design charts of
Compression with Bending of Rectangular sections for reinforcements Fe500 has also been inserted.
Concerned value for Charts of Fe415 are given in the form of Combo boxes. Now column can be
designed by using Fe415 and Fe500 bars. One program of seismic analysis as per
IS1893 (Part I) : 2002 has been added. Now seismic analysis is done by two methods.
Next method is NBC 105:1994.

The program of Combined Foundation having central rib beam has been updated. Upward pressure can be calculated directly and the program proceeds if and only if upward pressure is less than bearing capacity of soil. This program calculates bending moments and shear forces of central rib beam and designs completely, central rib beam, footing slab and shear reinforcements. In footing slab it calculates both main and distribution reinforcements. Print has been improved and necessary corrections has been made. Drawings of combined foundations of all ready constructed huge buildings has been kept. In the form of message help has been provided
Program of earthquake an analysis by static method has been added up to thirteen floor as per NBC 105:1994 . It calculates horizontal force at each floor up to thirteen storey. Various seismic parameters from NBC: 105 have been incorporated. Various Loadings from IS: 875 have been added. Program of Doubly and Singly reinforced beam has been improved. Design of Pile foundation has been added. While working as a Project Supervisor of Civil Engineering Students of VIIIth semester of ACME Engineering College new program of Slab Design by Limit State Method has been added prepared according to their syllabus. Details of "Guidelines of Earthquake Safe Buildings "has been included in message form. Structural reinforcement details of Earthquake reinforcement detailing of foundation, frames, columns, joints and others as suggested in Khopa Engineering College has been added. While conducting project of VIIIth semester of Civil Engineering of Lumbini Engineering College (affiliated with Pokhara University) in the year 2008 one program has been added which verifies their course of study. It is the design of dog legged staircase by Limit State Method. It verifies concerned design calculations step by step. The points mentioned below also has been incorporated.
i) Minimum grade of concrete for various exposure conditions.
ii) Characteristic strength of Tor steel and TMT bars.
iii) Various design shear strength for various mixes
The design of column by Limit State method (vertical load and biaxial bending) covers syllabus of all Universities of Nepal. In brief this Software can be used in the class of RCC design also in all the Engineering Colleges. The program of Slab, Singly reinforced beam, Doubly reinforced beam, Strap foundation and Shear force design has been updated. One Combo box has been added in this program. Also relevant clauses from IS 456:2000 has been inserted in message form. A lot of new clauses from IS456:2000 has been added at various relevant places.
This software contains the design of following building components by Limit State Method. They are i) Design of Slab ii) Design of singly reinforced beam iii) Design of doubly reinforced beam iv) Design of column and v) design of staircase. Remaining components are prepared by using working stress method. It saves more than 90 % of design time and is user's friendly. This software is equally useful for civil and structural engineering students of all levels and for all Building practitioner also. Design of staircase by working stress method has been updated. Some clauses of IS456:2000 has been incorporated. Reinforcement details of slabs, staircase, combined foundations has been provided. Drawings of already constructed buildings has been kept in program. While designing Gumba of Humla print of combined foundation has been updated.

This version has been updated considering design of Prestressed Concrete bridges. Messages has been kept
to design abutment seat for Prestressed Concrete bridges. Design of Abutment stem has been improved and various graphics has been placed. They are details of Abutment Cap and PSC Girder, Abutment Cap reinforcement detail for PSC Girder and abutment for PSC Girder. Vertical and horizontal reinforcement details of tall abutment also have been inserted. While designing open foundation for abutments both the toe and hill can be checked for moments and shears. As the span is more the dead load in Pier and abutment becomes more. While designing Mohana river bridge of Kailali district the design of Pier stem has been improved a lot. In Piers also graphics has been inserted for PSC bridges. Graphics of details of Pier, Pier Cap and Pier foundation have been placed. This software has been improved a lot while working with Deepak Gupta, Structural Engineer, UNEC Consult (P) Ltd. Photographs of Elastomeric, Rocker and Roller bearing has been kept. Photograph between abutment and PSC girder of Bishnumati bridge also has been kept.
The program of Pile foundation also has been updated. Calculation of reaction due to horizontal and transverse moment has been modified. Fourth layer of soil stratum has been added. Calculation of ultimate
shaft resistance has been completely revised and checked. Settlement also is updated for four layers of soil. In pile cap design has been updated in deep beam concept. Output of lever arm has been corrected. Area of reinforcements has been completely checked. Design of lateral reinforcements has been revised. New input and output boxes have been added. Messages has been kept as per code. It has been checked and verified. Messages has been added in number of places.

We have participated as Exhibitor on Civil Engineering Exhibition - 2068 (An exhibition and competition) which was held from 13-Jan-2012 to 15-Jan-2012 at IOE, Pulchowk campus. The event was organized by Civil Engineering Students Society Nepal (CESS-Nepal) in association with Department of Civil Engineering, Pulchowk campus.
The purposes of our active participation were to provide civil engineering knowledge to the visitors and provide information about our products BUSD and BRISD.
The three day exhibition was very successful and hope to participate such exhibitions again and again.
